Always the goofy one!
When my spiritual mother, Apostle Colette, asked me to write a silly story about my prophetic journey - the mishaps and humiliation that the prophetic walk is littered with, I answered her,
"Which one?! There are so many crazy things I did... 'in the name of Jesus'."
There is the time I told my Pastor he was going the wrong direction... in front of the WHOLE congregation "...thus saith the Lord!!!"
There is the time I held separate prayer meetings to that of the church because you know... "Who better to teach on prayer than me?!"
Or the time I stood up in the middle of a Sunday meeting and said, "I feel a huge knot in my stomach. There is somebody here with stomach problems and the Lord wants to heal you! Come forth and receive your healing!"
I later learned that the knot was the gift of discerning of spirits and that I was picking up somebody's conflict. After a long silence, my pastor (yes the same one I humiliated) saved face for me, and stood up,
"I have problems with my stomach!"
I came up to the front and prayed for her "healing". So yes, which one should I share with you? I guess, I can share some of them and if you are the prophetic type, I am sure you can relate to at least one of them.
Yes, prophets are crazy. We tend to step on toes when we are feeling our way around for the first time and even after that, we still step on toes... but more so by the leading of the Holy Spirit.
We do crazy things like pack our life in a suitcase and move across the country (yes, that is me). We burn old letters and get rid of keepsakes, just in case it is contaminated. You have to keep your spirit clear, you know.
We are a crazy bunch of people called "prophets" and can commonly be described as, "super-spiritual", "arrogant", "rebellious" or... "the goofy one who is embarrassing himself again!"
Yes prophets are crazy! But you know what? We need them in the Church. Who else is going to be crazy enough to say it like it is and challenge the way things are done?
As a tribute to you crazy prophets out there, Apostle Colette recently wrote I'm not Crazy – I’m a Prophet. You will be consoled just as much as you will be challenged to carry the weight of your calling. But... you will find your own story in every page of this book.
I know it will be a tremendous blessing to you!
